Our weekly group runs occur on:
- Tuesdays, 6pm, SWIC
- Thursdays, 6pm, downtown Belleville
- Saturdays, 8am, downtown Belleville
During Daylight Savings Time, we meet at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows on Tuesday nights at 6:00pm for hill workouts. We meet in the parking lot by the restaurant. Please make certain that you are on our Yahoo Group and/or Facebook Group so that you receive information on any changes to the time or location. This will continue until daylight savings time ends in the fall.
In the fall (after Daylight Savings Time ends), we will meet at Southwestern Illinois College (SWIC) on Tuesday evenings at 6:00pm for a run along a well lit trail. We meet in the parking lot just north of the Metrolink stop. The trail is about 1.4 miles around, it’s well lit, there are good bathrooms, and there is water. Please make certain that you are on our Facebook Group and Yahoo Group so that you receive information on any changes to the time or location. This will continue until daylight savings time begins in the spring.
Toolen’s Running Start also hosts a Tuesday night speedwork at 5:30pm from their store in Shiloh. Call the store at (618) 628-9898 for more information.
Thursdays (social night)
We meet on Thursday evenings at 6:00 pm in the parking lot at the northwest corner of “A” and “North Jackson” streets, adjacent to Casa Maria Mexican Grill (100 N. High St).
We run a course that consists of a 3 mile loop as shown below, although many people run the 5 mile loop shown below with the Saturday run. Please see the temporary route during construction on the trail – 3 Mile Route – www.plotaroute.com/route/393204
This is referred to as social night since many of our members often go out for dinner or a drink afterwards
Saturdays (the long run)
We meet on Saturday mornings at 8:00 am in the parking lot behind Margaritas Mexican Restaurant in downtown Belleville.
We run a course that consists of a 5 mile loop. However, this distance and start times can vary during the marathon training sessions. Please see the temporary route during construction on the trail – 5 Mile Route – www.plotaroute.com/route/393205
Many of our members who are training for a half marathon or marathon often run multiple laps on Saturday mornings. This is when they get in their “long run” for the week.
