Half & Full Marathon Training Program

The Belleville Running Club holds half / full marathon training sessions for spring and fall marathons each year. Our training schedules are available in the Resources section of this page. The spring 2015 training program is a marathon training program only for the Illinois Marathon in Champaign, Illinois on April 25th, 2015.

 

What is it?
A program with dedicated volunteers of runners and walkers of various fitness levels ready to help you reach your goal of running a half or full marathon.

Who can participate?
Anyone can participate but it is best to be able to run 3 miles for the half marathon training and 5 miles for the full marathon training. Feel free to bring the family! Strollers are allowed during training runs but official race regulations do not allow them on race day.

How can I participate?
Check our website for details on the group runs or just show up at the parking lot behind the St Louis Bread Company (aa Panera Bread Company, 113 East Main St) in downtown Belleville on any Saturday at 7:50am, ready to run!

How much does it cost?
The 14 week training program is free to all BRC members and non-members. We encourage all non-members to join the BRC. Membership is only a fee of $12. Applications may be completed on our Members page.
